Outlast expands cooling technology to natural fibers

Outlast Technologies has extended its fresh2SKIN cooling
technology to cellulose-based fibres such as cotton and
viscose. This allows brands to combine natural materials with a
cooling effect and improved thermal comfort.
The new development ensures that the technology can be applied
without affecting the natural softness of the fabric. The finish
remains almost unnoticeable, helping retain the smooth and
flexible feel typically associated with cotton and viscose textiles.
This innovation creates new possibilities for products worn close
to the skin, such as T-shirts, underwear, activewear, sleepwear,
and beddingInstead of noticing the treatment visually,
consumers can feel an instant cooling sensation when the fabric
touches the skin. This immediate effect can influence buying
decisions, especially when customers try on garments and
experience the cooling benefit directly. The technology offers
both instant freshness and long-lasting comfort. It provides a
cooling sensation on contact, while built-in microcapsules
containing natural wax help regulate body temperature. These
microcapsules absorb excess heat and release it when needed,
creating a balanced microclimate and reducing sweating
throughout the day and night
