Shree Ramkrishna Exports Private Limited has been
recognised with the Top Environmental Impact Project
of the Year award at the E+E Leader Awards. The title
highlights the business’ industry-leading sustainability
practices across its diamond facilities.
“Natural diamonds are symbols of eternity- and so should
be our commitment to the Earth,” said Shree Ramkrishna
Exports’ brand custodian Shreyans Dholakia, the Gem and
Jewellery Export Promotion Council reported on its
website. “This recognition is not just about what SRK has
achieved, but what is possible for the industry. Our journey
is a call to action for others to step forward and contribute
to a greener, more responsible future.”
The accolade acknowledges SRK’s achievements in
operating the world’s first diamond crafting centres, SRK
House and SRK Empire, to be certified as ‘Net Zero Energy’
and ‘Green Buildings.’ These Surat-based facilities use
clean energy to produce every natural diamond, reflecting
the company’s focus on lowering carbon emissions
throughout its operations. The E+E jury praised SRK’s
project for its innovation, scalability, and long-term
environmental impact, positioning it as a benchmark for
the global gem and jewellery industry. The award adds to
the business’ ongoing efforts to promote responsible
diamond manufacturing and signals a broader push within
the sector toward sustainable business practices.
